Mackie Keenan Obituary
Mackie Keenan, a much loved mother, nanie, and great-grandmother, passed away quietly and gracefully June 24, 2007, at her home in San Pedro (Rancho Palos Verdes). She was born January 28, 1923 in Eaton, Colorado. She lived most of her life in San Pedro. Her loving husband, Buck (William) Keenan preceded her in death in 1996. They had four children, 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Mackie is survived by her four children and their spouses/partner, Jack and Kathleen Keenan, Kaleen and John La Pinta, Mackie Keenan and Geri Fuchigami, Kevin and Cynthia Keenan; grandchildren, Kamie and Kandra La Pinta, Julie and Kyle Keenan, Burke and Blake Keenan; Ryan and wife Maryanne La Pinta; great-grandson, Dylan; sister, Thelma (Mary) Petrella; sister-in-law and husband, Murriel and Warren Tipton and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mackie devoted her life to raising a family and being with her husband. Her favorite past-times included spending time with family, bowling with friends and going to her vacation home in Bullhead City, Arizona. She will be remembered for her generosity and compassion. Mackie will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: American Lung Cancer Society. Visitation will be Thursday, June 28 from 1:00-8:00pm at Green Hills Mortuary and interment site services will be Friday, June 29 at 2:00pm at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
