Dear Montenegro Family,

Uncle Monty will always be close in my heart. Our families spent so many Christmases together which bring back many fond memories. Unfortunately our parents are getting older (I sometimes can't believe I'm a grandmother!!) so this is just the beginning of these kinds of events for all of us. Please watch over Aunt Lilly as she was like a second mother to me as an infant. My mom even tells me that I called Lilly "mommy" before her.

Love to you all, Lisa & Family

To Dean & Daniel Montenegro and Family,

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your grandfather. He was a great man whom I shared many fond memories with.

When we were younger, I remember his great sense of humor and kind heart. I remember the many visits to your home and carpool rides that he drove, always welcoming me as if I were part of the family. I always enjoyed hearing him speak, especially when he greeted me. No matter how many years he knew me and how often I would come over, he would always greet me with "Hey Guy!" rather than saying my name, and that ALWAYS brought a smile to my face and made me laugh.

No loss is easy, especially one as close as this. Losing both my grandmother and mother within months of each other this year has taught me that although we may be saddened by their passing here on earth, we should feel comforted by knowing that they are now in the presence of God in the kingdom of heaven, with all the rest of our loved ones that have gone before us, and that truly is something beautiful.

You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to the family. Here's hoping that the knowledge that he's not suffering anymore, coupled with all of the great memories from over the years, help to ease the pain of getting through this difficult time. Peace...

With Heartfelt And Loving Memories Of Uncle Monty.

When I think of him, I think of fishing, "chocolate covered cherries", baseball and bowling... and yes, much, much more than that.
He could kid with the best, and keep a straight face... my step-brother's can attest to that.
And, I do remember his serious side... and sometimes wondered what he was thinking about... he could be, a man of few words.
He was a strong shoulder you could rely on as well, and was there when we needed him, not asking anything in return.
But most of all, I will always remember, how much he loved his family, and how protective he was of them.

I pray that your hearts will find comfort, strength, and peace in this difficult time by remembering the joyous times and special moments that were shared together with him in your lives.

Love Always,
And Blessings To You All,

In Christ Jesus Name,
Marian
