John Sikora

1924 - 2022

John Sikora, a 64 year resident of Boulder, CO, died March 1, 2022, at the age of 97. John was born to Andrew and Gladys (Bargelska) Sikora on December 13, 1924, in Springfield, MA. While in Springfield, John attended Technical High School. He then went on to Boston where he achieved a B.S. in Civil Engineering before attending the University of Colorado Boulder where John would obtain his PhD. John also spent a little over a year in the U.S. Army Signal Corps between 1945 and 1946. The majority of John's career was spent working for the Public Works Departments of Adams and Boulder Country. On December 28, 1969, in Boulder, CO, John married Marian J. (Bakos) Sikora. Together they spent 45 years together, until Marian's death in 2015. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, May 9, 2022, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army.
