Collin W. Peterson RED HOOK - On Aug. 6, 2015, the world lost Collin W. Peterson. In his short 16 years with us he left more love and light behind, and touched more people, than many twice his age. Collin had been an avid sportsman, but found his passion in the arts. Much of the last year was spent rehearsing, honing and exploring his craft with the high school drama club and chorus, making new friends and deepening already established relationships. In the theater community, it seemed, he had found his home and second family. He had also recently fallen in love with the guitar and spent countless hours in lessons and private practice. In addition to his love of music and drama, Collin was a relentless gamer, a talent he spent many happy hours perfecting, much to the chagrin of his challengers. His absence is deeply felt and his presence will be forever missed by his loving parents, Elizabeth O’Donnell and Richard Peterson, his devoted family, and his numerous friends and classmates. Calling hours were held Monday at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home of Germantown. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Red Hook Performing Arts Club at Red Hook High School in c/o Deborah Temple. Condolences may be expressed at yadackfox.com

Dear Peterson Family,
Collin was a voyageur at Timberlock with our son, Evan. He has fond memories from the wonderful times they spent together. They shared a tent, carried canoes together.

Collin was a friend to my son Brian Shaw...they were in class together...they were LEGO master builders together,they played soccer and had so many good times at scouts together,Dad you actually coached their team and my other son Mackey, well he loved the sound of your voice and your personality...it was plainly clear how much you loved Collin, I know you always and forever will...I will never forget how Collin always smiled when he saw me, how kind he was how polite and respectful he was...he was an amazing person...he will forever be amazing to me...I will always remember and miss your son...I give you and his mother and the rest of the family all of my love...This is a terrible tragedy and I will send positive thoughts your way for all of the years ahead...This is truly a loss for all of our community who loved Collin.Rest in Peace dear Collin...

I never had the pleasure of meeting Collin but my husband and children did when Collin went camping with them along with his friend, my nephew, Christopher. They all loved him. They thought he was great. And my husband commented on how helpful he was. They were all so sad to hear of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Collin and his family during this tragic time. I hope and pray that the beautiful memories you have will help to ease the pain.

my deeply condolences to you parents Collin, yes we lost a such wonderful boy, all I can say I will miss the my Red hair kiddo, so sad to see you are gone so young, we all will miss you for sure, I will always remember you smile and how polite you always was to us in the cafeteria, prayers for all you family and my best to you father which is one amazing dad to you and you brother, now you are one angel up there , always look out for you family sweetie <3

Although I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Collin. I am a complete stranger but in reading this well written, very small tribute to Collin I couldn't help but feel the heart felt thought and love that went into it. If I being a stranger was able to feel your love when reading this I can only imagine how much he is loving you right back. I hope all of your wonderful loving memories together comfort you until you are reunited with all those you loved in this life time.
