John O'Connor Obituary

John O'Connor SAUGERTIES- John "Buck" O'Connor, 72, of Mt. Airy Rd. died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at his residence. He was born May 27, 1938 in Quarryville to the late John and Mable Burns O'Connor. A lifetime area resident, he was employed for many years as a butcher at the A & P in Saugerties and the Boiceville Market. He was a member of the Saugerties Elks Lodge #2574. Survivors include his wife with whom he recently celebrated his 53rd Wedding Anniversary the former Sue Peters. Two daughters: Brenda her husband Robert Ostoyic and Maryanne Ostoyic and her friend Patricia Stratton of Kingston. One son: Kevin O'Connor and his wife Jackie of Palenville. Two granddaughters Nicole and Shayna Ostoyic. Brother-in-law of Robert and Wally Peters and sister-in- law, Bernice O'Connor all of Saugerties as well as his dear friend, Judy Sullivan. John was predeceased by his brother Robert, sister Florence Dean and sister-in-law Eleanor Wolven. His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., cor. Of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Friends will be received Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Kingston or the Blue Mountain Church. We will miss you Uncle Buck, You where one of the most wonderful, honest and loving man that I have ever new. Time has past & our family has grow. Your memory will be carried on for ever.
