Joseph McGrath Obituary

Joseph C. McGrath III, 45, of Glasco died Monday November 1, 2021 at home. Born March 14, 1976 in Kingston, he was the son of Deborah C. Strbich-McGrath and the late Joseph C. McGrath Jr. Joe was employed by the New York City DEP as a watershed maintainer. He was an amazing caring and loving guy, with a heart of gold, who was greatly loved by all of his family and friends. Surviving in addition to his mother is his sister, Jennifer Barth, brother in law Steve Barth; his girlfriend, Gerri Dedi and her daughter, Madelyn Tormay; his maternal grandmother, Gertrude Strbich; his aunt Lori Deis; his uncles, Kenny Strbich and Kevin Strbich; his God children Samone and Chyanne Staccio; his late wife Amy's family as well as many cousins. Joe's pets, Roscoe and Daisy also survive. In addition to his father, Joe was predeceased by his wife Amy McGrath, who died January 17, 2017. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue. www.jvleahyfh.com. Joe's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held Tuesday 11 AM at the funeral home.
