Dorothy Tkaczyk Obituary
After graduating high school, Dorothy attended Pratt Institute where she would receive her Master's Degree in Library Science. She then worked as a librarian for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in New York. She enjoyed watching science and nature programs, European history, and music.
She is survived by her son Eric (Cecilia) Tkaczyk, her daughter Elizabeth (David) Haynie, her grandchildren; Peter Tkaczyk, Sean Haynie, and Kira Haynie, as well as many loving relatives and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, Fred and Elsie, her husband John, her brother Fredrick Pfister, and her sister Marguerite Strachen.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 1pm at White-Van Buren Funeral Home, 1779 Main St. Delanson, NY 12053. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery in Delanson.
