Born on November 18, 1949 in Munich, Germany to the late Andrejs and Emma Andersons, he had worked for many years at Digital in Westfield, MA and as a business analyst at St. Francis Hospital. Mr. Andersons leaves his wife, Georgette L. (Proulx) Andersons of Springfield, MA, daughter, Rebecca Rivera (Anthony) of Springfield, MA; step-son, Alan Lambert (Kristie) of Gloucester, MA; step-daughter, Beth Lambert (Jay) of Chicopee, MA; brother, Raymond Andersons (Jeanne) of Charlton, NY; sisters, Biruta Platt (Alexander) of Alexandria, VA and Astrida Milgate (Robert) of Gloucester, MA; grandchildren, Diego, Jaylene, Andre and Paige; ex-wife, Dorothy Andersons; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the D'Amour Cancer Center in Springfield, MA especially Dr. Wilson Mertens, the nurses and caregivers at Baystate VNA & Hospice, the team at the Dana Farber Cancer Center in Boston, MA and a special thank you to his caregiver, Evelyn. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA. Funeral services will begin at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC proceeding to the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery for burial with full military honors.
