ELIZA ALTHISER Obituary

Eliza J. Althiser, 27, of Schenectady, died Friday, August 6, 2010, at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of Michael Althiser and Eliza Bonney of Schenectady. Eliza was employed as a certified nursing assistant at the Avenue Nursing Home in Schenectady. She was loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed. Eliza is predeceased by one sister, Jackie Townsend. Besides her parents, Eliza is survived by four daughters, Tenala Jones, Naijiaree Jones, Love Jones, and Jordyn Jones, all of Texas; two brothers, Raymond Townsend and Jeremiah Townsend, both of Schenectady; three sisters, Georgianna Althiser, Shirley Althiser, and Lorie Townsend, all of Schenectady; her companion, Kaseem Jones of Schenectady. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway and Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens in Colonie. Contributions can be made in Eliza's memory to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211. Online condolences at www.bondfuneralhome.com.
