Mark Mirando Obituary

Mark N. Mirando, 62, of Red Hook, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 28, 2021 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Born June 12, 1958, in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Dr. Nicholas Mirando and Beverly Tyler Mirando of Burnt Hills, NY. Mark married Patricia Hamilton Bremer on July 29, 2000. Mark was a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School and Rochester Institute of Technology, earning his Civil Engineering degree. He earned his Professional Engineering License and was owner of Mirando Engineering, P C. Mark was a talented Civil Engineer and was involved in many building projects. He was instrumental in the early stages of development on the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery and was very proud of this work. Most recently he was an engineer at the Division of Codes for New York State in Kingston, NY. Mark had many interests throughout his life. He was a talented runner and held numerous sprinting records at his high school and won many suburban council championships, including several MVP meet honors. He enjoyed photography, building models, cooking and loved his wife Pat's amazing meals. Mark appreciated spending time with his father and brother and attended many car and air shows together. In addition to his loving wife, Patricia, Mark is survived by his children, Kayleigh Bremer, Stephen Bremer, Patricia (Sean Kelley) Mirando, Brigid (Cathy Day) Mirando, and Brian Mirando; his grandson, Rory; his siblings, Amy Mirando-Connors, Traci (Peter) Marr and Timothy (Carolina) Miranda; his loving pups; in addition to extended family and friends. Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Home on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Masks will be required. Memorial donations may be made in Mark's memory to the Dutchess County SPCA.
