Mildred C. Grinter

Mildred C. Grinter Ballston LakeMildred C. Grinter, 90, passed away September 26, 2013. Mildred was born on February 18, 1923 in Hudson, NY. She retired from the New York State Dept. of Labor many years ago. She was involved in the DAV and was a lifelong member of The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She enjoyed camping, baking and riding on the back of a motorcycle. Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Willis H. Grinter Jr., who died in 1999. She is survived by two sons, James H. Grinter and his wife, Bonnie of Galway, NY and Paul R. Grinter, Christine M. Grinter of Richmond VA. Mildred is also survived by five grandchildren. Mildred will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and her many lifelong friends and neighbors. All are welcome to attend a memorial service which will be held on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 547 Saratoga Rd. Glenville, NY 12302. Interment will be private in Vale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mildred's name to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The Grinter family would like to give special thanks to Mildred's friends and neighbors that allowed her to remain in her home until the final days of her passing.
