Thomas Blaha Obituary

Thomas D. Blaha, 64, of Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY; passed away at home January 28, 2021. Born in Amsterdam, NY on March 30, 1956, he was the son of the late Michael Joseph and Sally Veronica Haluch Blaha. Tom received his education in the Amsterdam school system and graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch High School. He was last employed in the maintenance department for the Greater Amsterdam School District. Tom is survived by his wife, Deborah Landwehr Blaha who he married December 3, 1982, one son, Thomas Blaha of Rotterdam Junction, NY; daughter, Heather Blaha of Tribes Hill, NY; one brother, Michael Blaha of Amsterdam, MY; two sisters, Christine Varshock of Sun City, AZ; and Barbara Hauck of New York Mills, NY. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Cremation was held at Park View Crematory in Schenectady, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service, Wednesday February 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010, with Rev O. Robert DeMartinis officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at St. John's Cemetery Amsterdam, NY. Memorial gifts in Tom's name may be made to St. Stanislaus Church, 50 Cornell Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010 www.rileymortuaryinc.com.
