William Nye Obituary
He was born in Albany on June 8th, 1933 to the late William F. Nye and Virginia (Brown) Nye. William was a steadfast husband, father and friend. He was a decorated Veteran of the Korean War. He was a recipient of the Korean Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. He was honorably discharged May 18, 1955. He is a retiree from the NYS Office of General Services. William was married to his beloved wife of 50 years, Lucy Nye, who passed away January 12th, 2022.
He is survived by his devoted daughter Desiree Nye. William will be missed by all those who knew him.
A service will be held on Thursday January 11th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 343 New Karner Rd Colonie NY 12205. Please see Newcomeralbany.com to leave a special message for the family.
