Delores Zachara

Delores Zachara, 80, of Des Plaines, Illinois, passed away on October 17, 2024. She was born on February 16, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Herbert Luthje and Rose Kusyn.

Delores was an avid reader who enjoyed puzzles and was a great cook. She dearly loved her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Delores enjoyed traveling and going on the occasional cruise. She was a retired postal employee.

She was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Mitchell.

Delores is survived by her husband, Dennis; her children, Jacqueline (Brian) Weder, Joseph Turnbull, and Jonathan Turnbull. She is also survived by her brother, Ron McGlynn. She was the proud grandmother of Jason, Lily, Jack, Jeffrey, and Evan.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 3:00pm until the time of service at 7:00pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois.
