John Patrick Deasy of Palatine Memorial visitation for John Patrick Deasy, 70, will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial Mass at 4 p.m. Friday, at Maryville Academy, 1150 N. River Road, Des Plaines. Born Nov. 22, 1934, in Chicago, he died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago. He was a 1952 graduate of DePaul Academy, and also attended and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1956. He was in sales with Equitable Life Insurance Company in Chicago. He substitute taught in School Districts 15 and 211, and also within the Chicago city school system. He was an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife, Lynn Deasy (nee Baron) of Palatine; children, Sean Deasy of Newport Beach, Calif., Kyle (Daniel) O'Grady of Philadelphia, Sheila (Timothy) Watson of Palatine and Brian Deasy of Chicago; six grandchildren; sister, Dolores Deasy of Chicago; and numerous cousins, both in the United States and Ireland. Memorials may be made to the Father Smyth Standing Tall Foundation, 53 W. Jackson Blvd., #1534, Chicago, IL 60604. Arrangements were made by the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, Palatine, 847-358-7411.
