TERESA JIMENEZ

Teresa Jimenez, age 81, a longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on July 18, 2017, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Teresa Jimenez and her husband were proud owners of Santa Fe restaurant in Glen Ellyn since 1985. A strong, beautiful, spirited woman, with a big heart and a warm smile. She is survived by her children Elvira (Pablo), Serafin "Jose" (Susana), Mario (Cindy), Olga, Reyna (Mark), and Sylvia. Loving grandmother of Danny (Kristina), Nathalie, Eric, Jessie (Jason), Irineo and Isabella. Great-grandmother of Ty and Trey. She is preceded in death by her husband Irineo and her two grandchildren Kyle and Olguita. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, from 4-9 PM at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn, IL. Funeral service Friday, July 21, 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, IL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. In honor of this loving woman, she requested that black attire not be worn at the funeral home or cemetery. Teresa wants a bright and upbeat atmosphere to support her surviving family.
