William Hacker Obituary

William K. "Bill" Hacker of Sleepy Hollow for 16 years A funeral Mass for William K. "Bill" Hacker, 75, formerly of Des Plaines for 30 years, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, West Dundee. Born May 1, 1927, in Chicago, the son of William and Helen (nee Nelson) Hacker, he died Thursday, April 24, 2003, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. Bill attended St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee. He was a stationary engineer by trade and retired from the Marriott Co. Bill was a Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marian Hacker (nee Glowania), whom he married on May 13, 1950; children, Susan (Jack) Buonauro of Westminster, Md., James of South Elgin, John (Lisa) of Elgin and Kathy Anderson of Round Lake Beach; and grandson, Brian Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Terry Hacker in 1985. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee and from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the church. Friends may visit www.dailyherald.com/obits to express condolences and sign the guest book.
