Rev. Butcher was a "real" man of God. I worked with him at the former Lukens Steel, 1965-1995. He was the only Reverend who worked with me to help bring a reconciliation between the union members and the core workers during the strike. He lived the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." Rev. Butcher was a true man of integrity. I will miss you, my dear Friend and Brother in Christ. But in time I shall see you over in the glory land. My prayers to the Butcher family.
