Thomas Walraven Obituary

Thomas A. Walraven of West Chester Thomas A. Walraven, 79, of West Chester, died Friday May 3, 2013, at the Neighborhood Hospice Inpatient Unit, West Chester. He was the husband of Barbara J. Pegler Walraven with whom he shared 57 years of marriage Born in Valley Twp., he was the son of the late Willard Walraven and the late Laurene Pass Walraven. Tom lived in West Chester all his life. He was a technical sales manager for 49 years with Sonobond Ultrasonics and retired in 2001. While working at Sonobond he developed many patients for their equipment. He traveled all over the world, enjoyed his casino trips and loved building wooden model ships. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Cheryl Lynn Riddle and her husband Gary of West Chester, Pamela J. Hoopes and her husband Scott of Downingtown; grandchildren, Candice Renee Riddle, Curtis Riddle and Scott Hoopes; also survived by his brothers, Ralph Kramer of Marshallton, Charles Kramer of Coatesville; and a sister, Nancy Carroll. He was preceded in death by sister, Kathy Doyle, and sister, Edith Roeschen. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, followed by his Funeral Service, 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380. Interment will take place at the Green Mount Cemetery West Chester. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Neighborhood Hospice Inpatient Unit, 400 East Marshall St., West Chester, PA 19380.
