Bessie Harris Obituary
Bessie departed this life peacefully at her home in Collierville, TN on April 10, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Harris; her parents, Sam and Dorthula Shore; two daughters, Gwendolyn Mayes Powell and Carolyn Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Alicia Harris Smith (Timothy); three sisters, Georgia Shore, Lucille Shore, and Ethel Shore; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing and visitation on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at H.C. Jett-H.C. Ford Funeral Home, 203 Washington St., Collierville, TN 38017. Funeral service Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion M.B. Church, 300 Mt. Zion Rd., Piperton, TN 38017. Interment in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery. Pastor Pierre Lyons, officiating
