Hugh Goldberg Obituary

Hugh Mitchell Goldberg died June 19, 2024 at the age of 84.

He was born in Memphis, TN to parents Bernice and Harold Goldberg on May 12, 1940 moving to Tupelo, MS at age 6. He graduated from Tupelo High School, where he developed a love of hunting and fishing from his parents, along with his brother, Bubba. After high school he moved back to Memphis, where he would meet his bride of 62 years, Sherry Belz Goldberg. They would go on to make a beautiful family of 3 sons, Alan (Judy) Goldberg, Stuart (Kathy) Goldberg, Hal (Michelle) Goldberg and 8 grandchildren, Zoe Harkavy (Alex), Zach (Alyssa), Zarah, Hunter, Abby, Ben, Drew and Emma Goldberg. He was a dedicated realtor for 45 years, a diehard University of Memphis sports fan, avid golfer, an active member of Baron Hirsch synagogue and known to many as "Uncle Mitch", when he was Peres adviser from 77-87.

The family requests donations be sent to Baron Hirsch Synagogue or the charity of the donor's choice.
