Robert Eugene Tribble, III (December 26, 1989-April 18, 2023)

Surrounded by his loving family, Robert Eugene "Robby" Tribble, III passed away unexpectedly on the morning of April 18, 2023, at the age of 33.

A devoted fan of University of Memphis athletics, Robby was a demonstrative presence at Tiger basketball and football home games, where he will be profoundly missed. There, fans found an arm-waving, passionate Robby directing plays and vociferously challenging referees en route to Tiger victories. Robby's passion for sports extended to Galloway Golf Course where he enjoyed the camaraderie with golfers of all age ranges. Following his graduation from Christian Brothers High School, his gift of congeniality led him to pursue a bachelor's degree in Hotel and Hospitality Management at the University of Memphis, where his hard work earned him a spot on the Dean's List.

Friends fondly remember Robby for his many endearing qualities: his love of his friends, golf, music, and animals; his contagious, warm laugh and unique brand of humor-and the way a room brightened with his presence. His kind nature and loving spirit won him legions of friends who attest to his unflagging loyalty, kind-heartedness, and spiritedness.

Left to mourn his tragic loss are his mother, Dr. Elizabeth Baddour (Dr. Jim); father, Robert E. Tribble, Jr. (Jane) and bonus siblings Carrie Lee (Jack) of Hernando, Ms. and George Robert Baddour (Erin) and Ben Baddour (Kristy) of Covington, TN; his paternal grandmother Janet January and maternal grandparents Jim and Ann Griffith. In addition, Robby leaves nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of significant others whose cell phones will now be strangely silent.

In life, one of Robby's many gifts was his quick wit and unquestioning giving spirit. In death, he gives the gift of life through the Mid-South Transplant Donor Services so that others might enjoy life as he did.

In lieu of flowers or food, please make contributions to the Benevolence Fund at Independent Presbyterian Church 4338 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, TN 38117. These contributions will be dedicated to helping fund addiction recovery for those in need.

Robby's visitation is scheduled for Saturday, April 22nd at noon in the rotunda of Independent Presbyterian Church. His funeral service will follow in the Sanctuary at 1:00 pm. Please! Everyone come and remember the goodness that God gave us through Robby during this day when we commemorate his homegoing.
