Send FlowersIt is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sally Joan Zaccagnino, who left us peacefully on August 13, 2025. Born in 1937, Sally filled her 88 years with love, laughter, and a deep devotion to her family and faith.
Sally cherished her role as a devoted mother and is survived by her beloved son Dan Zaccagnino, his wife Janne, and their daughters, Jana and Anne Misener. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Dan, with whom she shared over 55 beautiful years of marriage, as well as her son David, and her cherished grandson, USMC Sgt. Garrett Misener. Sally was also preceded by her brothers, Bob, Gene, and Clifford Hyde, and her sisters Beverly Roll and Betty Embry, all of whom she held dear to her heart.
Throughout her life, Sally excelled in various roles; from being a dedicated stay-at-home mother, to becoming a business owner and a claims adjuster for AAA. She poured her heart into everything she did, always with a smile and an encouraging word.
As a steadfast member of Fayette Baptist Church, Sally’s love for Jesus shone brightly in her life. She was not only a devoted worshiper but also an eager volunteer, sharing her time and talents with those around her. Her enthusiasm for life was reflected in her many hobbies; she adored gardening, was an exceptional cook, and found joy in music, sports, dancing, and long drives through the countryside.
In remembrance of Sally’s commitment to youth and community, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Fayette Baptist Church Youth Ministries (12465 US-64 W Somerville, TN 38068), ensuring her legacy of love and support continues to inspire others.
A celebration of her remarkable life will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Peebles Funeral Home, West Chapel at Oakland, located at 10670 Highway 64.
Sally Joan Zaccagnino will be profoundly missed by her family and all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith have left a lasting impact and will forever be cherished in our hearts.
