I always remember your warm smile and kind spirit that could always lighten up a room or a person with a heavy load. So glad I was fortunate to be a part of you and Connie's lives. I especially remember your visit to Sheppard AFB, TX when you were on USAF Basketball Team. Juwann and Connie came to visit me and my daugther Candice. You lived a beautiful Christ like life w/wonderful family. Hope I can do and live up to the same. Your star shines brightly above. Love always, Margaret Thompson

I'm so truly grateful God brought you and Flip together as it was somehow always meant to be. You both have a wonderful God given gift of not only lighting up and touching each others lives with your loving, beautiful, wonderful and awesome smiles and glowing personalties, but of those who had/have the golden oportunities of having you both in their lives whether being short or long. His love and care for his family and others will always be remembered; whether being on a beautiful sunny day or as a rainbow after a severe storm. I'm so truly grateful of having the pleasure of loving and knowing you both. Forever in my ❤ thoughts and . Love you always Connie

To My Family,

It is so hard to say good-bye, to a loving brother that was so happy all the time. He is truly missed. I thank god for allowing him to be with us for 20 years after the surgery, and he never complained. He always had a beautiful smile on his face, and had a word of encouragement for anyone. He was the angel down here on this earth for us, and god needed him up there. We can have the peace in knowing that Flip is in a better place and waiting to see us up there. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten. I thank god for him daily. My family please keep the faith and god will see us through this hard time.

Hello Family,

It is tough to think of life now without Uncle Flip, but we know that he would rather us think about the good times and the eternal life that he now has with our heavenly father. He wants us to have that eternal life so that we can once again laugh, smile and joke with him and poppee at the feet of our father.
I love you Auntie Connie, Jawann and Jaren

My deepest and sincere condolences to Connie and the Wilcox family. Clarence, affectionately known as Flip touched the hearts of many. I will forever hold in my spirit the fond memories I spent with him in Germany and for God allowing our friendship to transcend time and reconnect us last year. The love he had for his family was evident and he still saw fit to extend that love to his friends. He may be home with the Lord, but he will never be forgotten. May the light, love and comfort of Christ be with you always. God bless.

Just two days my elder, he was always reaching for the sky. It was like reconnecting with a brother when we met 30 years later. the friendly smile, the quick come back to a joke and the love he showed others never changed. We talked about our ball playing days and the things we use to do on the court. But nothing could compare to the pride he showed when he spoke of family and his love of God.
Rest in Peace Flip, a good man who made others better by being around him.

My heart is heavy as I read of the passing of your loved one. I met Clarence while working at Nextel and always found him to be a perfect gentlemen and always full of encouragement for everyone. I dont remember a day that went by that Clarence didnt have a kind word. For awhile I think our commissary hours were the same ...regardless of what time I would shop I would always see Clarence.

It's been a few years since we have seen each other, but I am grateful for the memories.

To the Wilcox family,

You all are in my prayers.

The Lord said, "Let your light shine." Well, this brother took HIM at HIS word and did just that...everywhere he went. There is no doubt Deacon Flip was a faithful servant of the "Most High" GOD.

The beauty of the love and laughter Flip shared with his wife, sons, extended family, and the church family is beyond measure.

Please take care of your hearts dear ones for there is where you will find Deacon Flip until you meet again.

Rest in peace, my brother in Christ.
