Elizabeth Tasker Obituary

HAYES - Elizabeth Fisher "Libby" Tasker, 80, died March 28, 2015 at her home. Libby retired from the Gloucester County Sheriff's Department in 1997. After retiring she was a school bus driver for Gloucester schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Kenneth Tasker; parents, Vernard and Anne Fisher; and sister, Louanna Early. She is survived by her children, Roy W. Spivey, Sharon Nies, Karen and Carl Butterworth; grandchildren, Chasity Gill, Christopher Nies, Shaun and Nicholas Spivey; sisters, Sarah Atkins, Katharyn Deihl and Beckie Midgett; and brother, Frank Fisher. Funeral service officiated by Reverend Bob Robbins will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 7 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. In memory of Libby contributions may be given to Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P. O. Box 9, Bena, VA 23018. Family and friends may share condolences and memories at www.hoggfh.com

Roy, Sharon and Karen, I am so very sorry for your loss. Your mother was a strong woman and I know that her strength lives on in all of you. I was very fortunate to know Bibby from attending all the wonderful family reunions with Cheryl. Bibby was such a great person, full of spirit. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Keeping all the family in my thoughts and prayers.

Thinking of you today with deep and sincere sympathy.I am so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I will always remember "Bibby" as a good, fun loving beautiful woman.I know it's been years but she meant a lot to me and I loved her also. Remember the little things,the shared smiles,the warm hugs and the laughter.May you find strength,comfort and peace in all your memories if her. My condolence to the entire family.
