Felix Wilinski Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Felix G. 'Fuzzy' Wilinski, 82, entered into rest on Sept. 9, 2003, at his daughter's residence in Newport News. He was born in Natrona, Pa., and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was a steelworker with Allegheny Ludlum and retired in 1982. He was a member of St. Ladislaus and St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Legion in Natrona, the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Tarentum, Pa., and The Fraternal Order of Eagles in New Kensington, Pa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta (Lodzia) Wilinski; two brothers, Ted Wilinski and Charlie Wilinski; as well as five sisters, Helen Pollock, Wanda Kasinski, Virginia (Reggie) Nader, Pearl Ekas and Louise Wasierski. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Deena and Joel Carney of Newport News; a son, Randy Wilinski of Natrona, Pa.; three grandchildren, Lindsey, Jacob and Hillary Carney of Newport News; a great-granddaughter, Abigail Carney. Burial will be in St. Ladislaus and St. Joseph Cemetery in Natrona, Pa. Memorial donations may be made to The Christopher Newport University Athletic Fund c/o Athletic Department or to Longwood University Athletic Fund. Altmeyer Funeral Home in Newport News handled arrangements locally.
