George Carmines Obituary
George is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Odell Carmines, Sr. and Rebecca Thomas Carmines; brother, Thomas Odell Carmines, Jr.; and sister, Mary Anna Carmines.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Burroughs Carmines; children, George Sidney Carmines, Jr., Kelle Carmines Edwards (Danny) and Theresa Daniels (Sam); grandchildren, Dustin Edwards, Kalle Edwards, Donovan Edwards and Madeline Daniels; siblings, Anne Ransdell and Margie Dumas; fur-baby, Tilly, his best friend, as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, July 26 at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday, July 25 at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Poquoson Volunteer Rescue Squad or Tabernacle United Methodist Church.

To George's Family - George and I started first grade together and went all thru school together until we had to separate in our senior year after the County got the new York High and the county kids had to leave Poquoson High - but I have remained friends with so many in my class and George was one of them. I moved to LA in 2007 b but on one trip home my brother (Skip) took me to see George. I am so sorry for your loss - may God be with all of you at this most difficult time. He was one of the best!
