Mildred Davenport Obituary

Mildred P. Davenport, 98, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018. She loved playing bridge, traveling, and entertaining friends and family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Commander USN Floyd Davenport; and son David Davenport. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Linda Hirschman of Rochester New York; grandsons, Joseph Davenport, Stephen Hirschman and Michael Hirschman; and seven great grandchildren. A service is scheduled for Thursday, June 14 2018 beginning at 2:00pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Williamsburg Baptist Church, 227 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185 (www.williamsburgbaptist.com). To the families and friends of Mildred P.Davenport.
Today, I just want to send my deepest condolences to the families. We all lose love ones in death and its a very difficult time. My prayers are with the families. Please allow God to strengthen you in your grief. He is a God of great comfort and peace.
