Brandon, Grandpa came to walk beside you today, to hold your hand so you wouldn't have to make the trip alone.
To the Davis family, may you find comfort in the works of God. Feel them in a drop of rain or a blowing wind, hear them in the song of a bird, smell them in the bloom of a flower and know they are with you.

To Brandon's Parents:
Your courage in doing what Brandon would have wanted was remarkable. As the parent of a 19 year old, I know just how quick life can turn, and can only imagine your loss. He touched many lives and people, including all of us on the palliative care unit. You are all inspiring. Tom Smith

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your family. We are so sorry for your loss.
Think of Brandon as living in the hearts of those he touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost... and he was loved so much.
God has Brandon in his keeping. You have Brandon in your hearts.
God bless you all.

I couldn't quite find the words to express my sympathy for your family...I borrowed a poem instead.
"I'll lend you for a little time a child of mine," He said. "For you to love the while he lives and mourn when he is dead; It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three, But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?"
"He'll bring his charms to gladden you, but should his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories, as solace for your grief; I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return, but there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn."
"I've looked the wide world over in my search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call to take him back again?"
I fancied that I heard them say: "Dear Lord, Thy will be done!
For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness; we'll love him while we may,
And for happiness we've known forever grateful stay.
"But should the angels call for him much sooner than we'd planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand."
Warmly,

Life goes by so fast.
Don't live in the past.
We don't know how fast life can go by.
We don't know if we'll get to say goodbye.
We wonder what to do.
We never know where to go.
We live in the past when we need to live for today.
We never know but we worry what can happen while we're away.
Don't worry, be happy people say.
However when we don't worry and were happy nothing stays the same.
Were all playing life's game.
We all have a time to go.
We don't want to leave our friends and family behind, but we know we have to do so.
We need to live for today for our lives are in the hands of God the one we all go to.
Who's next to go, we all want to know.
Will we live to see tomorrow?
We wish we could find out so we would know who's the next one to go.
RIP Brandon. You will be missed by all that knew you. I didn't know you very well, but from what I do know you were a great guy. RIP Brandon!

My Heart aches for the lost of your Son. Life is so precious. I only knew Brandon for a short time when he was younger, but I still remember the mischief he could get in (he was a good kid though!)and the way his hair would be totally wild and mostly standing up! I hope this memory will lessen your pain, if only for a moment. Gloria Wood Waycaster
