Eugene Ford Obituary
Gene, co-owner of Read It Again, Sam on the downtown mall, with be remembered by his many friends and customers as a jovial man who loved books, jazz, poker and shaggy dog stories. Gene's final weeks were made easier by the volunteers at Hospice of the Piedmont which would be the perfect place to make memorial contributions.
A toast to Gene's memory will be held at the store from 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday January 20, 2008.

We are so sorry to hear about Gene's passing. Visiting him and his store has been a regular highlight for many, many years. He introduced me to countless authors that I might never have read without his advice. We will keep him and his family in our prayers.
