I am saddened that Leigh was called to her heavenly home so soon, but happy that she was here for as long as she was. I pray for peace and an understanding that surpasses all understanding. It was a privilege to meet her and help her in her journey.

Leigh and Isaac and Dan and I were "double" friends: Leigh and I met in grad school at the UVa School of Architecture and then found out that Dan and Isaac had also become friends while working together building houses in Charlottesville.
Then Leigh and I went through the PhD program together, and during that, were pregnant with our daughters at the same time (they were born within one week of each other!) We learned and shared a lot together: how to improve our scholarship, how to (somewhat) gracefully combine that with the early years of parenting.
When I think of the times we spent with Leigh and her family, it makes me feel so happy. Leigh was incredibly kind and caring, and also incisively witty and gloriously sarcastic. Her scholarship was innovative and challenged me to think of my own work in new ways. I loved watching our daughters grow together. Leigh and Isaac and Ivy and Aaron will always have a special place in my heart

I am so very sorry to hear of Leigh´s passing. She was such a strong woman and I know she will be so unbelievably missed. I was very blessed to be a small part of her care team. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.
With Sympathy,

Leigh and I worked together at an architectural firm in Charlottesville. She was talented, sophisticated and always a joy to be around. Her effervescent personality personified in her radiant smile made all of who were fortunate enough to share time with her in this life all the richer. A beautiful soul.

The Scholars' Lab and its community were so lucky to work with Leigh during her time with us as a DH Fellow. She was a fantastic, innovative researcher whose scholarship continues to provide an inspiring model to UVA faculty and students.

Leigh was a fellow SHS 2003 classmate. She was beautiful woman, and an even more beautiful soul, who always exuded kindness, class, and brilliance. Prayers for Leigh´s husband, children, family, and friends.

My parents and her grandparents were lifelong friends and neighbors. My young sons, their cousins, and a neighbor boy loved to play football together when we visited. Leigh was a tad younger and the only girl. She held her own with the boys. She was a breath of fresh air and sweetness.
