Pamela H. Pavely

AGE: 71 • Morristown

Pamela Harrington Pavely, 71 died peacefully on Tues., Jan. 15, 2013, surrounded by family ending a nine-month battle with cancer and a stroke. Pam was born in Burlington, VT and moved worldwide more than 30 times with her Army family. She graduated from Ft. Knox High School and Marymount College (BA) Arlington. A charismatic and multi-faceted woman, Pam began her career as a fashion coordinator in Washington DC where she met Richard. After 7 more moves they settled in Randolph, NJ, where she served as the President of Shongum Lake POA for 2 terms, on the Randolph Twp. Planning Bd for 8 years, and as owner of the Country Mouse in Chester for 20 years. After succeeding in these endeavors, Pam began a new career in real estate at Weichert Realtors in Morristown East. During her 18 years with Weichert, she also served on the Professional Standards and Grievence Committees for the NCJAR. Pam was appointed Secretary to the West Point Class of 1938, as a tribute to her father Col. Tracy Harrington.

Pam was best known as Pamma Amma, a devoted mother and beloved grandmother who loved her family more than anything. Her dynamic personality, intellect, and personal style will be remembered by all who shared their lives with her. Pam is survived by her husband, Richard and son Ryan, of Randolph; her daughter Maureen and husband Jim McCreedy and their three children: Katie, Ian and Conor, of Morristown; her brother Dr. T. Michael Harrington and wife Kathy of Alabama; her sisters, Donna Harrington and husband Keith of Virginia, and Cynthia Johnson and husband Ray, of Georgia; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Sun. Jan 20th at Doyle Funeral Home, 106 Maple Ave., Morristown, from 2 to 6 PM. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of the Assumption, Morristown, NJ on Mon. Jan 21st at 10 AM with interment following at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown, NJ. Pamma Amma put forth a valiant fight and overcame numerous medical obstacles because of her strong will and love for her family. She will be sorely missed. Dick, Ryan, Maureen & Family,
Our entire family is deeply saddened to learn of Pam's unfortunate passing. She was a beautiful lady that I first met and had the opportunity to work with on the SLPOA Council to better our community. We will miss her summer greetings on the beach and her smilimg waves as she drove by our house often stopping to inquire about our family. You must know that we will miss her dearly. We will keep all of you in our prayers and hope to give you are personal condolances when we see you this suimmer on the beach that she loved and worked to make a better place for all. We owe her a debt of gratitude. May she rest in peace and may God bless each and everyone of you.
