Wayne Weaver Obituary

West Point - Ross Wayne Weaver, 73, passed away on August 21, 2025, at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. Wayne was born on January 16, 1952, to the late Ross and Earlene Vernon Weaver. He was a graduate of West Point High School and attended Mississippi State University. He worked at Artex for 35 years and then Navistar for 10 years. He enjoyed all aspects of sports, playing and coaching. A few of his favorites were softball, baseball, football, and golf. He was an avid card player, reader, and enjoyed playing video games.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Christie Sims of Columbus: one son, Marc Weaver (Davlynn) of Guntown: three grandsons, Christopher Garner (Katie) of Columbus, and Blake and Hunter Meeks of Guntown, and four granddaughters, Alexis, Trista, and Kaitlyn Weaver, and Savanna Meeks, all of Guntown.
Memorials may be made to the West Point Athletic Department, 90 South Eshman Avenue, West Point, Mississippi 39773.
