She was born in Oxford, Alabama, September 30, 1947, to Gary and Muriel Truss, who preceded her in death. Eloise moved with her family to Middletown at the age 7. She was raised under the influence of her strong, Christian mother who instilled within her the desire to serve the Lord, Jesus Christ. She gave her heart to God, joined the Mt. After working for many years at the General Motors Corporation, Delphi Division, Eloise retired as an Engineering Manager. Evangelist McGowan had a strong passion for God's ministry. In addition to her love of God, she loved her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing, walking, helping others, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will always be remembered as a kind-hearted, faithful, and spiritual woman of God. She leaves to cherish her memory 6 children: Mrs. Lynn (Eric) Russell, Middletown, OH; Mr. Arvin (Kim) McGowan, Attleboro, MA; Mr. Perry McGowan, Decatur, IL; Ms. Ghana Smith, Dayton OH; Miss Farisa McGowan and Miss Naisha Burns, Columbus, OH and 15 grandchildren. I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Miss E.T. She was a wonderful friend and awesome spiritual prayer warrior. During one of my darkest hours, she didn't hesitate to encourage me. Whenever I needed someone to pray with or talk to, she was there. I loved her dearly and will greatly miss her. May God bless and uphold your family.

Dear Family, I have hd the pleasure of knowing Eloise in the last few years as she visited my church in Springfield. But you never know a persons works If they do it out of love and not for recgnition. I learned of a benevolent act she has sis for one of my sons. Rest in the fact that she was a true woman of God and may God keep the family.

Harry, Joe,Charles all brothers, sisters, children and family. We are also shocked at this news of our Sister in Christ. Our prayers and condolences are sincere. Some interpret the scripture to mean that Jesus is going to build us a mansion in His Fathers house. God said I lay for you a foundation(Jesus) in Zion for you to build on.Yes there are many mansions of all the Saints. But we, as they did, must build them ourselves, on our faith and belief in Jesus our foundation. Sister Eloise Truss McGowan,Ph.D. built a glorious mansion. Take comfort in knowing she has received another promotion and now occupies that mansion in our Fathers house. God Bless You.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creationm, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. [Romans 8:38-39]
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of unhappiness. May the memories of your loved one bring you comfort. May God give you Peace.
