COMBS, Floyd Franklin age 55 of Trotwood, departed this life, Saturday, April 5, 2014. Floyd was born on February 3, 1959 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Allen Billy & Mary Elizabeth Combs. Floyd graduated in 1976 from Colonel White High School, Dayton, Ohio. In 1977, he attended Coastal College in North Carolina and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. On November 24, 1988, Floyd was united in Holy Matrimony to Lesli Montgomery. To this union was born, one child, Brandon Allen Combs and he was a devoted step father to Kanesha Carolena Amarante-Johnson. Floyd was a state of Ohio bonded Security Offer at Merchants Security. Floyd was also employed at DHL Wilmington Airpark and at various restaurants in the Dayton Area. Floyd professed hope in Christ at an early. He attended Phillips Temple CME Church, Trotwood, Ohio. Floyd enjoyed karate, landscaping, collecting antique cars and he was an avid historian. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Sarah Concheta Combs and one brother George Herbert Combs. Floyd leaves to cherish his memory: A loving wife of 25 years Lesli R. Combs; One son, Brandon Allen Combs; One step daughter Kanesah Amarante-Johnson: Two grandchildren, Kira Brown-Johnson and Jamari Xavier Combs. Seven siblings, Beverly Yvonne Combs-Elmore, Prudence Gayle Combs-Coleman, Lamonte Cranston Combs, Bridget Adair Combs (Eddie) Spooner, Billie Lorraine Combs-Colston, Suzette Elizabeth Combs and Corolin Shawn (Jacqueline) Combs and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a special aunt Louise Little Combs. A visitation will be held on 10-11 am, Friday, April 11, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road. A Funeral service will be held at 11 am, also at the funeral home. Interment will be held at the Dayton National Cemetery.
