Kline, Mark E.

Mark E. Kline, a beloved figure in both his professional and personal life, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on May 26, 1940, in Saratoga Springs, New York, Mark was a man of many passions and achievements, and he leaves behind a legacy marked by dedication and love.

Mark had an extensive career in sales that began with Speed Queen and continued at Litton Microwave and NEC Corporation, among others, which ultimately led him to establish his own company MEK. His professional success also resulted in many long lasting friendships.

A proud alumnus of the University of Wisconsin, Mark cherished his time at the institution. He was not only a dedicated professional but also a devoted family man. Mark excelled in his roles as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His love for his family was evident in all he did, and he took great pride in the accomplishments of his loved ones.

As an avid sports fan, Mark found immense joy in watching his favorite teams compete. He was happiest cheering for the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Chicago Cubs. Staying true to his Saratoga Springs roots, Mark was also an avid horse racing fan.

Mark's service in the United States Navy was a significant chapter in his life that he held dear. His commitment to his country exemplified his sense of duty and integrity, qualities that he carried with him throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Susan Kline; his son, Matthew (Windy) Kline, of Charlotte, NC; and his daughter, Meryl (Jason) Matthews, of Centerville, OH. Mark was a cherished grandfather to Hannah Matthews, Taylor Kline, Madeline Kline, and Leah Matthews. He is also remembered fondly by his brother, Shy (Nan) Kline, of New York, NY, along with many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who were fortunate to know him.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Hyman and Rita Kline, and his sister, Meryl Kline.

Mark E. Kline leaves a rich legacy of love, friendship, and dedication. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
