News Death Notice

OGG, Rick age 62 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014. He was born December 7, 1951 in Dayton to the late Oscar A. and Sophia Ogg. He is survived by his siblings, Johanna M. Bates (Tom) of Tallapoosa, GA, Bradley R. Ogg (Diane) of Stafford, VA and Vincent Ogg (Joretta) of Vandalia, OH; nieces and nephews, Renee Key (Brian), Angela Faulkner (Patrick), Todd B. Ogg, Sean Bates (Michelle), Christopher C. Ogg and Lindsay Ogg; 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew, Emily Faulkner, Madison Faulkner and Ethan Key; lifelong friends, Rick Myers, Stu Geralds, "Gooch" Myers and numerous cousins and friends. Rick was an avid golfer. He received great satisfaction from coaching youth sports, in particular youth basketball at Holy Family Church. Rick was a long time employee of Buckeye Pools. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd with inurnment to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12 noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rick's name to your local youth sports organization or The American Diabetes Association.
