Tim, you are one of the best athletes that I ever knew. I struggled in basketball and you were one of the best in Dayton. I remember you telling me to be "loosey-goosey". I cannot count the times that I've told young people at Beavercreek High School to be "loosey-goosey", that was your gift to me. I have always appreciated your kindness. At our 50th Meadowdale reunion I was very sad to hear that you had passed into the 'field of dreams'. It was good to have known you.

RIP Tim "Moby" Burns. Thought of you often since our days at the Peay. Ironic that I located you via internet 3 weeks ago and made numerous attempts to contact. Wintered a few years less than 100 miles from you and never knew it. Will always be sad we didn't keep in touch. Oh, the stories we'd share. Deepest sympathies to family and friends.

Rest in peace Tim. Great memories of your pitching at Austin Peay. The best slider I have seen! You helped put Austin Peay Baseball on the map 45 years ago as The Peay won their first OVC Chanpionship in school history. We will remember you this weekend as we gather together as alumni this weekend to honor the Championship. Larry Beets, Hudson Florida

Had many great times with Tim at Austin Peay. He had the golden arm and could make a baseball do anything he wanted to. TKB, you will be missed.

Had some great times with Tim, when we were in Class A baseball with the California Angel organization. He was a good pitcher and a good basketball player in high school. Tim was a class act. Had some awesome times on those old bus trips around Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Prayers to his family. Lanny Little.
