Doris FLAGG Obituary

Doris C. Flagg Doris C. Flagg, age 59 of Middletown, DE passed away September 23, 2003 at home. Doris left us these thoughts. "Chuck and I traveled across the country on wonderful genealogy trips with a stop in all of the 48 states. We also looked for a really good hot dog. My favorite trip was either driving to Alaska or the voyage on the Mississippi River aboard the Delta Queen. I enjoyed planning, establishing and harvesting my cut flower garden. Thanks to all of you who came to take a piece of that beauty home. I loved our family cookouts by the pond. When you couldn't find me in the garden, I was puttering in the shop. 'My Husband, Chuck, loves me very much and I will miss him. I am so proud of my daughter Carrie, of Felton DE, who will soon be a compassionate and talented nurse. She has also raised 2 of my grandsons, Chuckie, an aspiring football and baseball player, and Louie, a future dolphin trainer and pilot, to be wonderful people. I am equally proud of my daughter, Linda, of Toms River NJ, who has raised my favorite granddaughter, Hilary, to be a beautiful person inside and out. She and her husband, Denis, are grooming my youngest grandson, Robert, to be a world-class baseball player." She is survived by her mother, Frances Gould of Duncan AZ; her sisters, Taffy Couts of Au-burn CA and Loretta Puzzi of Miami AZ; and her brother, Durwood Gould of Conroe TX; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Durwood L. Gould; and sister, Elaine Dapper. The memorial service will be 10:30 am Friday, September 26, at Old Drawyers Church, Rt.13, north of Odessa, where friends may call 9:30-10:30. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Doris to the American Cancer Society, Ovarian Cancer Research, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
