Nancy Dilworth Obituary
Wilmington - Nancy Cameron Dilworth, age 83, passed away at home on December 26, 2017.
She grew up in Greenfield, MA, the daughter of Samuel Midgely Cameron and Kathryn Ogden Cameron. Nancy and her sister, Sally, had an idyllic small town childhood with extended family close by. Nancy was a graduate of Northfield Mount Hermon and Simmons College. She had a long and fulfilling career as a Licensed Physical Therapist.
Nancy loved travelling, reading, movies, local theatre, gardening, needlepoint, her family, and the occasional episode of the Real Housewives. She felt so lucky to have great friends who helped her stay social and active. Nancy is survived by her daughters, Angela Johnston (BJ), Sara Eleuterio, and Emily Mitchell (Joseph); six grandchildren, Kyle, Megan, Katie, Sam, Will and Ethan; four great grandchildren; her sister Sally Whiston; and her best friend, Marnie King.
Thank you to Compassionate Care Hospice, especially Kheila and Wendy, who provided exceptional care and became our friends over the past year.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 10:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at Brandywine Valley Funeral Care (Beeson Chapel), 412 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809. In lieu of flowers, donations to WHYY, the Foodbank of Delaware, or Operation Smile would be appreciated.

Emily, sincere condolences on the passing of your Mom. I never knew that she, and I guess you, grew up just north of my home town, in Massachusetts. May remembering the good and special times sustain you, and your family.

As a newly graduated physical therapist, I had the privilege of being professionally and personally mentored by Nancy. Her tenacity and dedication to her own health, to those of her patients and to her children were exemplary. What a special person & P.T. - a life well done!
