1940-2015 Aaron Jackson, Sr., age 74 Aaron Jackson, Sr., age 74 of Chester, Pa. departed this life on January 12, 2015 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, Pa. Aaron was born in Chester, Pa. to the late Joseph Jackson and Annie Grantham Jackson and was a graduate of Chester High School and Cheyney State University. Before his retirement, Aaron worked as a school teacher for the Chester-Upland School District. In addition to his parents, Aaron was also predeceased by his brother Alvin Jackson, Sr. Aaron's wonderful memory will be forever cherished by his wife Evangeline Jackson, his children Velinda Melendez (Carlos Sr.), Ericka Washington (Scott), and Aaron Jackson Jr., siblings: Annette Y. Friend, Ralph Jackson (Lulu), Robert L. Jackson, and Thomas M. Jackson (Diane), 7 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Service: Wednesday January 21, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at St. Daniels United Methodist Church, 315 Edwards St., Chester, Pa. Viewing: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. No viewing after the eulogy. Aaron was indeed a wonderful friend. Most of my childhood was spent with Aaron, Kenny ,Check,and a few others. in addition to being a great friend he also was a barber and cut our hair in the basement of his Second Street home. I will cherish the memories that we shared.

I was saddened when I heard about Aaron's passing. We worked at PECO together back in the 90's. He was truly a good person and he would keep me laughing. There were a few things that I knew about him that he shared with me whenever he would get serious. We would talk about his love for the Lord, he loved his family very much especially his mother in law, he was very proud of his children, his wife whom he never stop loving, food because if he was around nothing, I mean nothing went to waste lol and lastly working on appliances. He was very smart and could fix just about anything. Aaron was just a nice man and I will never forget him. I will keep the family in my prayers.
