Florence "Floss" A. Thornton, 48, Florence "Floss" A. Thornton, 48, of Lantana, FL formerly of Woodlyn, PA died on February 19, 2013 at Hospice of Palm Beach County, JFK Medical Center. Born and raised in Collingdale, PA, she resided the past 6 years in Lantana, FL, previously residing in Woodlyn and Philadelphia, PA. Floss was currently employed by the Broward College. She graduated in 1982 from Collingdale High School where she was elected (last reigning) May Queen in 1981. She received her BA and Master of Arts degree in Communications from West Chester University. Floss enjoyed concerts, traveling and going on cruises with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Patricia Murray Johnston and 2 brothers, Paul and Joe. Survivors: husband of 28 years, John Thornton, children, Lauryn, Courtney, Candyce, Tim and Cliff Lee Thornton, 8 siblings, Charlie (Joanne) Johnston, Kathleen (Joy) Johnston, Pat (Jim) Gregg, Jim (Kelly) Johnston, Anne (Jim) Gattone, Maureen (Rick) Johnston, Michael (Val) Johnston, and Eileen (Jeff) Pothier, several aunts and many nieces and nephews. Service: Friday, 11:00AM, at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. Visitation: Friday, 9-11:00AM, at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. So can some one tell me how to say goodby to my little sister? I didn't think so. But I know she is so happy That John was in her life, and the kids!!! even better. Floss had me drive passed his house when she was 14 to see if he was home... Yep my little sister was a stalker. Its ok they have been together since then. God bless Floss and God speed!
