Marie J. Varano

Marie Julia Varano (née McLaughlin), 85, died peacefully at home on September 13, 2021,joining the love of her life Theodore “Ted” Varano. Marie graduated from West Catholic Girls, and later worked for Bell Telephone Company. A seemingly tireless force, she worked alongside Ted in their Real Estate Office, TV Real Estate while raising their family.Ted and Marie’s story was one of devotion to faith and love of family. With eight children, their home was always busy and filled with love. Marie’s quiet strength served as the glue that bound together this vibrant household. She lived the Christian ideal of Love - always putting others’ needs before her own, whether her children, family, friends or anyone Ted might bring home for dinner. ReRe, Mom, Mommom is already missed and will always be remembered Marie was predeceased by her husband, Ted, and her daughter Patrice Sminkey. Marie is survived by her children Julia Varano (Michael Rawlings), Joan Appel (Neil), Maria Varano McDowell (Andrew), Ted Varano (Martha), Mary Zecca (Mark), Sean Varano (Tracy), and Rita Beck (Bill), her grandchildren, Ted Rawlings (Caitlin), Michael Rawlings (Lauren), John Rawlings (Kristin), Catherine Rawlings, Marie Sminkey, Lily Sminkey, Ben Appel, Jude McDowell, Liam McDowell, Lara McDowell, Cade McDowell, Declan McDowell, Samantha Varano (Glen), Ted Varano, Meghan Varano, Nicholas Varano, Gianna Varano, Dominic Varano, Mark Zecca, Jr., Aidan Varano, Clare Varano, Connor Beck, Gavin Beck, and two great grand-children, Emma Rawlings-Nolt and Helen Rawlings. A viewing will be held at Carr Funeral Home on Thursday September 16, 2021 from 6:30 -8:30 PM and on Friday morning at church from 9:30-10:15am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity B.V.M. Media, PA on Friday September 17, 2021 at 10:30AM. Internment to follow at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, 1701 Market Street, Linwood PA 19061.
