Thomas George McGowan

1951 - 2016

1951-2016 Thomas George McGowan, age 65, of Primos, Pa, passed away on September 29th 2016. Tom served in the United States Army as a self propelled gun operator and was a supervisor at Broadbent’s Inc. for 41 years. He was a lifelong member of the Briarcliffe Fire Co holding many positions including chief for his fire service. He was a thoughtful person who enjoyed life and helping others. Tom enjoyed watching the Eagles and the Phillies and attending all his grandkid’s events and milestones. He is predeceased by his parents Francis and Louise McGowan, sister, Margie Mundell and sister in law Joan McGowan. Tom is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane McGowan, daughter Diane Harris (Chuck) and his grandkid’s, Chuckie, Marissa, Carly and Tommy Harris. Also surviving are his brother, Francis McGowan, brother in law, Robert Mundell, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday evening, 7-9pm at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood & Thursday morning after 9:30am at the Church of Saint Eugene 200 S. Oak Ave. Primos, followed by his funeral mass at 11:00am.
