Geraldine "Gerry" Harrison

Pocomoke-Geraldine "Gerry" Dewberry Harrison, 77, of Pocomoke City, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland.

Born on June 12, 1936 in Hurt, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Willis E. Dewberry and the late Anna Mae Warden Dewberry.

Gerry was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Pocomoke City having served as the teen Sunday school teacher for many years. She will also be remembered for the years she devoted to acknowledging gifts to the American Cancer Society. Her hobbies included bowling, square dancing and reading, but she considered her most important role was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gordon M. Harrison, one son, Mark K. Harrison and his wife, Andrea, two grandchildren, Andrew and Abigail, all of Easton, MD, six brothers, one sister and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Paul Elligson, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Pocomoke City, where family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service. Interment will be follow in the First Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 204 Fourth Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.
