Jack Alexander Obituary
OCEAN PINES — Jack K. Alexander, 87, husband of Jo Alexander, passed away at his home in Ocean Pines on Thursday, June 30, 2011.
Jack served in the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Intrepid. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Sons of Italy, Veterans of Foreign Wars, World War II Veterans, Democratic Club of Worcester County, Caring Clowns, Evergreen Masonic Lodge and a previous past master of the Washington Masonic Chapter. Jack was a past member of the Ocean Pines Kiwanis Club and past president of the Telephone Pioneers.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Alexander, 10 children and 16 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Rita Elaine Alexander.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday at noon at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Friends may call one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans of America, Attn: Gift Processing, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250-0301; Worcester County Arts Council, 6 Jefferson St., Berlin, Md. 21811; or the Friends of Ocean Pines Library, 11107 Cathell Road, Ocean Pines, Md. 21811.

Dear Biggs and Chris,
Your dad will be truly missed. We have so many wonderful memories of him with your sisters and brother, especially in Hillcrest Heights!!!
We are blessed that we had the opportunity to know your dad and enjoy his company. He was full of laughter, smiles and always ready to share a good joke or two. We will miss him.

Jack in his resilient voice, would proclaim each morning, despite inclement weather, "isn't this a beautiful day"! He would then lean over and gently kiss his beloved wife, Jo! In this life we encounter a few like Jack, who had such a profound love of family, friends, community and country. Jack, you will be sorely missed. Love, Rose, Donna, Kim and Pete
