Joann Smith Obituary

Joann Endsley Smith

Joann Endsley Smith passed away on September 19, 2017. Retired from the UT Athletics Department, Joann continued to work from home as a contract accountant.

She was an active member of Friendsville High Alumni, having graduated in 1955.

Her hand-made chocolate pies and coconut pies were the best contribution at every gathering.

She was a beloved member of The Alley Oops Bowling Team.

Joann attended Unitia Free Holiness Church, daily living the example of Jesus Christ, in a sanctified life of humility of service to others and holiness of life.

Joann leaves a huge void in the life of her husband of 62 years, Oscar Smith; her son, Rick Smith and wife, Tammy; granddaughters, Ashley Smith and Hope Smith.

She was "another mother" to so many countless others.

She will be missed by brothers, Galen Endsley and Keith Endsley, as well as sisters, Geri Groover, and Marian Carruba; special friend and sister-in-law, Iva Endsley; special friends, Charles and Sandy Herr, along with too many family members and friends to list, adored by each one.

A Celebration of Life to honor Joann will be announced at a later date.
