Mable Armstrong Obituary

Mable Marie Taylor Armstrong

SALISBURY-Mable Marie Taylor Armstrong, 88, formerly of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 10. 2013, at the Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in McKinney Park, Va., she was the daughter of the late Lee Roy Taylor, Sr. and Mable Rebecca Barnes Taylor.

She was a member of Parkway Church of God and loved gardening, especially her rose bushes.

She is survived by a daughter, Frances Marie Vojacek of Delmar; two step daughters, Teresa Ann Williams and husband, Curtis and Annette Christine Armstrong, all of Laurel, Del.; two grandchildren, Tammy Lecates and Dale Davis, both of Laurel; two great-grandchildren, Spencer Lecates of Laurel and Shannon Davis of Hebron; three sisters-in-law, Sharon Jane Barto of Parsonsburg, Charlotte Cropper and Betty Smith both of Salisbury, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Edgar Armstrong on June 6, 2013; two brothers, Lee Roy Taylor, Jr., and Dempsey Taylor; three sisters, Frances Taylor, Nellie White and Peggy Schuyler.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron with Pastor Joe Lecates officiating.
