Bounmy Sengdara Obituary
Rochester: Aug 3, 2013. Dedicated husband and father. Predeceased by his sons, Alain and Manivong Sengdara. Survived by his wife, Boonsouay; son, Vongsavanh (Helen Poon) Sengdara; daughters, Phouangmaly (Eric) Tiwapath, Nina (Sean) Powers, Phanom (Robert) Dixie, Bounthavy (Andre) Menand; 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Thongdy Sengdara; nieces and nephews. He retired from teaching at Edison Tech. in 2003 after 20 years of service. He also served with US Aid in Laos during the Vietnam War. He was an active member in the Laotian community and was a board member of the Loatian Student Scholarship Program. He emigrated to the US, although he never lost his roots and always taught his children to preserve the Laotian culture.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, 6-9 PM and Saturday from 12 Noon to 2 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N. Goodman St. Cremation Services will be held after visiting hours on Saturday.

I will miss you each and every day and will always continue to hold you close to my heart. We were so connected, had so much in common, and simply understood each other. Sean, Tyler, Connor, and Hunter will continue to cherish all the many happy moments they shared with you. We all loved you very much, it means the world to me that you always felt and knew that while you were here. I will miss seeing you and speaking to you everyday.. Thank you for being my father.
