I still miss you, my dear high school friend! You were like a brother to me, and losing touch was so like you ( and me). I treasure the memories I have of shenanigans with you and am so sorry that the world and your family has lost you. We had so much fun!!!

The world came to a stanstill when I heard this terrible news. The star theatrical boy, class Valedictorain, prize pupil of IHS...gone from this world? This is beyond devastating. So many of us loved Chris. He represented the academically respected, but also the social deviant. His talents, charisma, and abilities were legendary. I scammed tickets to see him speak at the Class of 1985 graduation at the Eastman Theater. His speech began, "In a few moments, the people gathered here before you in the caps and gowns will cross the stage..." ... he had us all in stitches. Chris was amazingly gifted and so capable. His children...my heart goes out to them ... they will not have this amazing person in their lives. I am so sorry. My heart is broken. You were so admired, Christopher Scott.

Mr. and Mrs. Ellis, Kim and Chris' wife and children, I am so very sorry for your loss. I only remember Chris as the nerdy little brother that would bother Kim and me when we were hanging out, listening to music in the Ellis' living room. But I know from Kim that he grew into a fine young man and was much loved. I wish I had had time to get to know him again. He will be missed.

I knew Chris from LNP and remember him as being so young and driven back then. Chris was a talented guy in many ways - work, humor, family and music. He took on assignments at LNP with such a drive but would always make you laugh at the end of a serious meeting or phone call. I best remember his enthusiasm in making the big leap to SLP Mexico and how driven he was about learning the language, which he accomplished in a very short period of time.

I'm very upset to hear of Chris' passing. We lost touch after our college years but remember him like it was yesterday. We both shared an intense passion for music and obscure progressive rock bands. As kids we had fun testing the limits of our fertile imaginations, practically reinventing the game of Dungeons and Dragons in the process. We both sang in our church choir and I remember Chris having a very good tenor voice. We made each other laugh constantly with the goofiest stuff, often disrupting our rehearsals. It sounds like he went on to become a devoted husband and father, and our thoughts go out to his family. He will certainly be missed.

My deepest sympathies to Ellis family. Chris was a unique individual; a leader and a trend-maker, and just an all-around fun person to work with. He made the Columbus Indiana facility a better place.

Chris' greatest legacy is his beloved family. His world revolved around his commitment to them. Thank you for sharing him with us at Arkema, if but for such a short time...he will never be forgotten.

Working with Chris at LNP made everyday a 'fun' day at work. I can't help but think of all the laughs, learning, and growing up we did during our years there. I lost touch with Chris after I left LNP in the late 90's but I ran into him here and there...and he bought a house across the street from my sis-in-law. What a great guy, totally devoted to Coleen and his family. Chris, you will be missed and remembered fondly. May God bless you, Colleen, and the kids.

Although I have not directly spoken to Chris Ellis for many years, I will still miss him. I interviewed Chris when he was first hired into LNP. He was always a great worker with a great sense of humor who came up with many of the crazy Verton songs that still rattle in my head today. It's tragic that he was lost relatively early in life. He will be missed.

The LNP family is deeply saddened by the news of Chris' passing. I was fortunate enough to work with Chris, sometimes in the same building, and other times while in different countries. As we all know, he was one of a kind.. We shared an intense love of music, We both played in bands, and would share stories of musical passion and frustration. We would trade CDs, and get genuinely excited that we would both have obscure music most people had never heard of. Anyone whose collection goes from Alice Coltrane to P-Funk to the Flying Burrito Bros is special.
But most of all, I will always remember our conversations about our children. I have three boys, the youngest of whom is a few years older than Ryan. Chris and I would talk about the challenges and joys of raising a son. He loved Ryan, and was always looking to do exactly the right things for him. The link between a father and a son is so special, and Chris was locked in to this in an uncommon way.
Chris could make you laugh on your saddest day.
Our communications became less frequent when he moved on to Arkema, but we would still talk periodically. I will miss those conversations. May God bless Chris , Colleen, Ryan, Sarah, and the Ellis family. You are in our prayers
